Specs give life.

Your old spectacles can restore life for someone in Torres Strait Islands and Papua New Guinea. With over 550,000 people in PNG that could easily have their sight restored with spectacles, we are aiming to raise as many donated glasses as possible. Whether you have an old pair or two laying around the house, or would like to have a spectacle collection box in your school or business, we would love to have your participation.
The ship has already been to Newcastle, but it's not too late to send in specs or have a collection in your church, school, business or club.
Contact us is you would like to set up your own collection. info@ywamtribe.org.au or

'It's inspiring. They're so passionate!'

No. This is not a comment about our team of Aussie youth doing missions. Rather it is a comment by one of the kids on the team about the Aboriginal Christians they met at church.

One of the sixteen year olds said, 'These people seem to have so little material things, but they are so passionate about their relationship with Jesus. I really don't want for very much in my life but it's so easy for me to lose my focus on God. This really challenges me.'

For these kids this is… Continue

Where on earth is Boggabilla?

The answer of course is to look it up on Google maps!!!

Boggabilla is where we are right now with a team of thirty high school kids, a bunch of their teachers, & YWAM Tribe to Tribe staff. For the kids it's their 'work 'experience'' week, & they've opted to check out life as a missionary.

Yesterday, the first day of the adventure, was a ten hour bus trip, setting up camp & a welcome dinner with the locals.

Today has been our first day of ministry -… Continue

Medical professionals come on board

A medical ship without the right equipment and the appropriate personnel is really just a shell and not very effective in ministering to those in need.

On Wednesday evening we hosted a reception for a small group of local medical professionals on board the ship.

We were pleased to have the Honourable Mike Reynolds AM MP, former Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland and Patron of the ship tour,…

Spectacles & Ships

These girls really mean business!!! Here's what they have to say about some of what they are doing here on their DTS outreach:

`The ship is almost here. Today our team began preparing for the ship to arrive. One of our jobs was to sort spectacles and sunnies which had ben collected by local high school students last year (we found some fun ones).

After filling boxes amd counting all the glasses we split up and went out into the neighborhood. We went door to door… Continue

Taking Jesus onto the streets of the city

Soul Survivor in Canberra...... over 500 young people gathered together to go deeper in their relationship with Jesus through worship, teaching, ministry, seminars, sports, games, a bush dance, cafe..... and having lots of fun.

Not only was this a time of taking in, but also of giving out through various community service projects. Teams of young people went out into the city and worked alongside local churches and organisations in projects… Continue
